We had a great day Sunday at the Akron Today's Bride Show at the John S. Knight Convention Center in Downtown Akron celebrating our 10th Anniversary and meeting lots of engaged couples! Unfortunately, we ran out of the special 10th Anniversary discount flyers we were making available exclusively to Akron Today's Bride attendees about halfway through the day 
and had some additional printed quickly for the rest of the afternoon 
. In addition to getting to talk with all you wonderful brides and grooms (and moms, dads, bridesmaids, flowergirls, and all the other important people supporting the two of you as you plan the first day of your new lives together) plus the great staff of Today's Bride, we also got an opportunity to make some new friends with our neighbors.
As I've said before, passion for your craft is reason enough to open a business, but we think it also takes a special passion for love to make a really great wedding professional. We are always thrilled to meet other talented and kind-hearted people as dedicated to helping you make your wedding dreams come true as we are. We wanted to give a special "shout out" to a few we noticed on Sunday.
We had a great time working with Joy from Henri's Cloud Nine and provides music for their Gown Sale Showroom. They had a TON of gorgeous gowns by several designers including Pronovias, Mori Lee, Maggie Sottero, and many more. Joy has a great sense of humor, and, as you may already know, they have a huge selection of gowns for brides, maids, and moms at their store in Minerva, as well as tuxes and accessories. If you haven't already selected a gown, hit up Henri's! Henri's will also be hosting a Gown Sale Showroom at the Cleveland Today's Bride Show coming up this Sunday at the I-X Center. We were also lucky enough to be stationed across from Swank Floral Creations who had a variety of arrangements and bouquets that were not only gorgeous, but smelled great, too! They do have an extensive online gallery of their work on their website, but photographs just don't seem to do it justice. Their stuff is vibrant and creative because their staff is vivacious and eager to try new ideas. They seem like a great group to work with to help you find the perfect design for your special day.
We also had an opportunity to speak with the staff of Berlin Hotels and Suites. They have a lovely, picturesque pond-side gazebo perfect for a romantic wedding plus a banquet facility that will seat up to 250. Also, travelling time between your hotel, ceremony site, and reception site could potentially be just a few feet! They also offer a range of spa services including (sigh) massages.
Last, but certainly not least -- have you heard about Peek-A-Boo Divas? They are doing the cutest '40's style pin-up boudoir portraits. This two-woman team based out of Wadsworth could help you make a really sweet and sexy gift for your fiance.
