Brides Across America — FREE Gowns for Military Brides!

Brides Across America has a very special thanks in store for our nation’s engaged military couples.  The national charitable organization will be sponsoring dozens of events across the country in their efforts to bring together military brides with giving bridal salons who have donated part of their inventory for this outreach of support to the families of our armed forces.

In addition to the donations of the hosting stores, themselves, events also include donations directly from big name designers like Alfred Angelo, Marisa Bridals, Impression Bridal, Allure Bridal, Watters and Watters, Erin Cole Designs, Paloma Blanca, Mikaella, Vera Wang, Carolina Herrera, Casablanca Bridal, Jim Hjelm, Augusta Jones, Demetrios, Eugina Couture, Lian Carlo, Jane Wang, Maggie Sottero, Anjolique, Alfred Sung, Mathew Christopher, Simone Carvalli, Mori Lee, Mary’s, Private Label by G, Palazzo Bridal, Amsale, Christos, Kenneth Pool, Daisy Cleaners, NH, Emerald Bridals, Bridal Gallery by Yvonne, NY, Venus, Divine Inspirations, Malis Henderson, and Ti Adoro Jewelry.

Brides Across America’s program has been recognized by the media in markets across the country, including as one of Oprah Winfrey’s “Angel Network,” and has teamed up with Smiles Across the Miles, a philanthropic organization that unites those who serve (including military, police, emergency services, and others) with photographers who donate their pro-bono work along with other professionals who help make these shoots possible, such as makeup artists, hair stylists, and caterers.

To find out if you qualify for a gown from Brides Across America, visit the Qualify section of the Brides Across America site.  Couples who have already had a civil union but not a formal ceremony are still eligible.

Brides Across America is also accepting donations!  If you have a new or gently used dress in good condition that is less than three years old, visit the Donate portion of the Brides Across America site for more information.

From the Brides Across America site:

“Brides Across America was born on a realization that our country needs to do more to support our troops and their families. Bringing bridal and military together is a marriage made in heaven!  Bridal salons are uniting across America to donate and giving away wedding gowns to qualified military brides.

The wedding industry is making a difference and giving brides to be the opportunity to find the wedding gown of their dreams as well as alleviating  financial stress of purchasing a wedding gown.

Each store will be preparing a select number of gown to give away.  Most of the gowns are samples and overstocks and are worth approximately $500 to $3000.  Dresses range in sizes from 4-22 and will be given away on a first-come, first serve basis as long as you qualify.

Brides Across America is dedicated to make military brides dreams come true while, anxiously waiting the arrival of thier loved one from overseas.”
