Sunday before last, August 21, 2011, DJ Justin, DJ Keys, and I (DJ AJ9) had the pleasure of providing disc jockey, master of ceremonies, lighting design, and multimedia design services for Mr. and Mrs. Nick and Sara Starcher for their wedding reception at Sammy’s Grand Ballroom in Garfield Heights, Ohio.  Their colors were teal and plum.

Working alongside us were some of our very favorite people and professionals — Mr. and Mrs. Ken and Julia Love of Ken Love Photography (photos featured here) as well as the crew from Shutterbooth, Cleveland.

Nick and Sara shared their traditional first dance to the acoustic version of “Wake Up” by Coheed and Cambria from the “Snakes on a Plane” Soundtrack.

Sara had originally chosen Bob Carlisle’s “Butterfly Kisses” to use for her dance with her father, Timothy, but they ended up dancing to a special song from her childhood, instead — “You Are My Sunshine,” which her father sang to her as a little girl.

Nick and his mother also shared a special dance to LeeAnn Womack’s “I Hope You Dance.”
